or perhaps they enjoy a relaxing little festive project, glass of mulled wine to hand?

I agree with Mrs G. Even when I worked like a navvy, I still found time to do small decorative projects, why? Because I care about such things. Perhaps smflyman has different priorities?

I like fiddling about and making things. It's a pity my manual dexterity is not up to the standard of my ideas.

Its lovely to be able to make your own decorations ay Christmas, much better than just buying everything, it doesn't matter too much what it looks like.

NB Mistletoe is a beautiful addition to any Christmas or even Yule project (it's also a sacred plant to Pagans - including me) however it is TOXIC, the leaves and berries are POISONOUS and must NOT be ingested by anyone, toddlers might think they are berries to be eaten but if any are consumed, the poisons department of the nearest hospital should be the next port of call. Some varieties are less toxic than others but the worst can proove fatal.

Those in doubt need to google!
