It's a lovely idea, but only as a thing of beauty ,I think I would probably break my ankle if I stepped onto this uneven service, also would look nice embedded into a wall.
I LOVE THE PEBBLE MOSAIC AND WILL BE MAKING THEM
Love this project - I have hundreds of tiny glass pebbles left over from another garden project, now I can finally put them to good use! Thanks so much for the inspiration.

I am looking to do something like this, but as a reflexology path, would anyone have any advice on where to source good pebbles for this?
I really love the idea of laying a pebble mosaic but i want to create a large project on to an ugly concrete patio. I cant take the concrete up. Would be be grateful if anyone has any idea of how and if its possible to lay something like this? many thanks
It's great to see people being encouraged to make their own mosaics. A lot of my work for garden and landscape designers in pebble, which you can see on my website at www.olicanamosaics.co.uk Beware of using coated pebbles, and that taking them from the foreshore as it is often illegal to do so. Be creative, and have fun...

am going to make some of these using colored glass, marbles and mirror and then hanging them on the side of the garage as my very own wall art...
You can use marbles or glass beads .

This idea looks & sounds great. I was looking for something new to try so will def be giving this a go, just wish i'd found it earlier in the year.

in response to questions about glass, dont use marbles from china, only higher fired glass such as from house of marbles, frost damage can occur. pebble sources look up internet chinese  pebble suppliers such as ced, or trilcot, or get from maggy howarth who has wide range but may not be cheapest. janette ireland

look up books by maggy howarth, or get her dvds  using ordinary cement is no good for uk weather, you need shrink compensated grout, pebble mosaic is a technical process , please get all info before you start, look up www mosaicart.uk.com to contact for free advice, i have been mosaic artist , trained under maggy, many years.
