I have planted taties for 7 years now in small plastic bags with holes punched in them.If I plant on the allotment I cover the area with black plastic e.g. weed cover.Then wheelbarrow, compost + 10-20% manure (well rotted)Approx 2 handfulls chicken pellets, good mix then fill half bag plant potato, when showing 1-2 inch fill rest of bag, same mix.I have won shows with these potatoes they are so clean. I will never grow my 1st earlies any other way.
