Not so lovely when one stings though. Half my face swelled up last year and took weeks to return to normal
With you all the way Richard. I've been stung by a wasp three times. Each time it ws me threatening them, even though I didn't know it til it was too late. Pulled up a large weed, nest underneath. Cut back a shrub, nest suspended in it. The last went down my bike jacket whilst riding along. Hardly the wasp's fault
As one who has an allergic reaction to wasps I steer well clear. This one 'flew' at me, not on purpose and I am someone who appreciates their place in the run of things,
Unfortunately when stung it includes hospital trips etc and a great deal of pain - insect bites and bee stings have same reaction, Just another point of view, not an argument
I like them but I also know people who have severe reaction to them so I totally understand the 'fear' Matty. When you see the incredible structures they build it's quite amazing. I once had a sawfly in my garden which looks like a giant wasp- very scary if you don't know what it is!
