Saving foxglove seeds
Last spring I found a foxglove seedling in a pot, which had presumably self-seeded from a neighbour's garden. Excited, I potted it on and nurtured it in anticipation of seeing it flower this year.

Do I actually pull the old foxgloves up when they have flowered?

dear scullybooks Aye, slugs and snails are like that, they never help you out by eating the weeds.this wet weather we are having is brining them out in force.I've been away from the allotment for a week dread to think what they have done.

you could sow them now in their planting position or let them self seed and transplant them.this is how i do it as i dont have enough space for all the trays.if like me you're stuck for space, sow them in the spring where you want them to grow or in trays.you could try some in trays now if you have a greenhouse or cold frame to overwinter them.

Thanks dumpling! I've a decent bench with good light in the shed so I'll collect some seeds for potting.
