A beautiful flock of about 40 waxwings keep returning to a large apple tree that is still full of fruit in stourbridge, west midlands. Their song is peircing. They all sit facing the same direction when not savaging the apples. A great sight from my moms conservatory.

Today and yesterday saw 30-40 close up, in my garden munching on berries. Beautiful exotic looking creatures with a sweet chattering song (Utley, West Yorks) photos on flickr. First time for me was very excited.

I had about 25 birds feasting on a crabapple tree in the garden this afternoon. Not a bird I recognized or have ever seen before, but having looked it up the only thing they resemble are waxwings. We are on the outskirts of a small town in West Yorkshire not far from Ikley

Update from Herstmonceux, East Sussex! After seeing just 2 yesterday, I realised that today there was a larger flock at the bottom of the garden - about 20-25. Their song is amazing.

We had a flock of about 30 wax wings feeding on our berry tree this morning in Bristol - brilliant. We had to search on the internet to find out what they were as have never seen them before. According to the info they don't usually come this far south west.
