I will not be indelicate enough to name the person who messaged me to accuse my opinions of religions of demonstrating my lack of education...

Bother, I thought this thread was dissolving into lighthearted chat and was going to fizzle out.

Thought it had

It is to be my last word on the subject.

How light and fluffy is the news that I spent this afternoon and sixty quid at the garden centre in the bleedin' snow!

13/02/2013 at 22:32
That's not bad you'd have spent more if I'd been there
13/02/2013 at 22:39

Forty quid of that was bird food!!!

Ahhhh, but looking after our wee feathery pals is important

I won't count up what I have spent so far this year on seed  Its an addiction I think AND found a nursery called Binny Plants this week  Specialising in pollinating plants so think I will match and plenty more when I take the car up. Couldn't get the plants on my bike  However, think I have worked out how I can get a fish box attached to keep them cosy comin home now

Oh dear Sam maybe a truck would be better than a car
13/02/2013 at 22:48

This may be the case Bunny lol. So what did you do to be on parole???  I love it

13/02/2013 at 22:49
Ohhhh I better not go into alllllll that ***sheepish grin***
13/02/2013 at 22:50

I've heard of them, a friend back home rates them highly.

Bunny, we may meet in a carrot patch sometime and you can fill me in lol

Steve, they have loads of awards and fantastic amount of plants. The guys really nice and his dogs are very friendly too...which always help as they are quite large lol

Sam - you'll need to pop over to Fork Handles to find out about naughty Bunny

I spent £50 today in the gc - most of that was on plastic trellis for the honeysuckle, & some seeds which I've not tried before.  OH bought half price set of 3 different sized obelisks for my birthday   in a couple of weeks.

I won't be getting choccies as we try not to eat too much of tht kind of thing - we've just started on our 2nd Easter egg (yes, last year's!)  However there's a very good florist nearby........

We did have cake in the gc though - had to have something to help the tea down with...........

13/02/2013 at 22:56

The rest of mine was on hardy plants that will stay in their pots for a bit longer though the ground down here isn't that bad. They were outside at the GC so they will be fine on the patio!

Jeannie, cake is always good with a wee cup o tea lass lol
Steve, what did you get??? Im being nosey now

Two cotoneasters to train up the fence behind my new raised veg beds just to cover the fence, a lavender as the contoneasters were on a buy two and get something free. I am removing a mophead hydrangea and replacing it with a sarcococca confusa as I am pig sick of seeing just sticks outside the back door for several months of the year!

Oh and for indoors, a kalanchoe.
