Tree ID

This tree was planted outside my house years ago. I am only just noticing how beautiful it is. It's a small tree and therefore

ideal for a small garden. Your help in identifying the tree would be very much appreciated.

     Another view. It doesn't produce fruit. It's a tree the council planted years ago on the kerbside in London.

    That's very interesting and going by the above photo, it certainly looks like the same tree. I am going to take more notice of what this tree produces in future.

  • I have one looking just like this in full glorious technicolour... it's a good doer all year and leaves up earlier than most too. Shame it doesn't have edible pears too.image
