At this evening I cook allone! Only fresh veggies from the garden, fried strong but short time and chicken briest. Chillies soy- and fishsauce, a little coco sugar, finish. But good taste. A "poor people" food, but I like it.

I've thought about having ducks occasionally as we have a small pond, but then they would be pets and I don't think we could kill and eat them!
Swiss Sue, a friend near by had ducks and they make a terrific mess!
Today it was lamb steaks, steamed new potatoes, spring greens and carrots with a sauce made from lamb stock and redcurrent jelly.
artjak, that's one of the reasons for no ducks! Besides, it's difficult enough to find a babysitter for the cats when we go away.
Dinner tonight is pork chops, roast new potatoes, broccoli and carrots.
@Sue H, artjak, SwissSue, you cook very delicious! , I think, if I eat botatoes NOW, 20years after I go away from Germany, my stomach die.... Before, I like to eat young botatoes with brown sweet/sour gravy...but now I forgot the taste of them.

Today it is roast duck crown in North African spices. (just empty half a jar of tagine paste onto the duck and marinade over night) Roast in the usual manner.
Brunch today is baked beans on toast with a fried egg on top, how mondane can you get? Dinner is still being contemplated.
Out for lunch today, going to Steyning West sussex where they have a lovely tearooms. I feel the extra calories already
