Does anyone know/grow an unusual  autumn plant named Sternbergia ?

I dont grow them, but they make a lovely bit of autumn colour. They are widely available in the net.

Need a good summer or you'll just get winter leaves. Nice if they do perform though.

They're interesting and the one year in about 10 that I've had flowers they were fantastic. Other years it's fust a few and last year it was one.

This is also true of various packs of things you see in GCs

What do I need to do to get mine flowering Brumball? They have the odd flowering year but mostly leaves.
