Fairy what is the name of that Heuchera, hope it is one.

David I don't know unless the foliage isn't from a Gaz'.

Only popped on to post your tea.

Enjoy, you'll have to make your own cheese sauce.

Not sure if I've posted this before.....apols if I have. Anyway, It's a bridge near me.

Had an experience with my camera today that was rather puzzling to solve, so I'll share it on the basis it may help someone in a similar situation.

When I turned on the camera a message appeared in the LCD screen saying 'memory card protected'....this had the affect of locking-up the camera completely.

After much faffing about I found that there is a little lever situated on the left hand side of the memory card, this must have been moved whist removing & replacing the card....so something worth checking if you experience a similar thing.

I suppose its purpose is to prevent valued pics being deleted by mistake.

There is something similar on the video tapes I use. There is a slide on the side to lock it and stop it being taped over.

Yes, David you have posted that bridge pic before, but well worth seeing again and lots of new folks won't have seen it anyway.

Big spotty fish. Christmas Island. Indian ocean.

Just spent a while catching up on this thread, stunning photo's everyone I especially like your seed heads Fidget and thanks for the link to Danny Greens site David, amazing, I now want to go to Finland and Iceland!

If I were to buy a camera for around £80ish what would you recommend? and would I get more for my money if I bought second hand or is that a false economy?

08/03/2014 at 22:42

We have a range of cameras , but the underwater photos are taken on a sony compact in a sony  marine housing. although it is an old model (only 12 mp) the nearest to it is this.

.  For macro shots I recommend canon and canon lenses but they are not in your budget.

08/03/2014 at 22:59

They have some used Canon cameras on ebay for around my budget but they're only 8.2 mp, would I be able to get some decent shots with one of these?
