Not an outstanding shot by any means....but not too bad considering it was taken free hand from about half a mile away.

Summer solstice visit to Brimham Rocks:

The Sun was behind the cloud at that point. I didn't get a good picture of it actually setting.

Wild rose in hawthorn. The flowers almost seem to glow.

A farm in the area:

 Part of the garden

The cream flowers are elder. The white ones are a huge rose bush. The cream-and-white things in the grass are sheep.

There are about 6 acres of woodland there, full of nettles, brambles, goosegrass and birdsong.

Two willow trees on opposite banks leaning over and twining together like lovers.

Nothing remarkable about this 'Perle d' Azur' clematis you may think, but it is quite remarkable that the above is about 20ft high in the canopy of my old damson tree. It appears every year about this time and gets no attention whatever.....in fact, I'm not sure where the roots are.

 Just a test, folks.......didn't work.

So it is!  They were part of some flowers bought for me for taking care of her garden while she was on holiday.

She's a really good gardener herself, but she still tells people how lucky she is, as her garden always looks better after her hols than before.

The sunset picks are beautiful Dave k.

Its amazing how long the chemical trails last compared to the condensation trail.

Great pics though, please keep them up.

Crikey, omitted to say my daughter's garden.
