How & when do you take camilia cuttings?

take a heel of small twig or branch (take a couple) and place in a pot with a little grit and peat .place cuttings at the side of pot,water and leave alone until it shows signs of growth or if you lift leaf gentle it wont pull out.I would suggest you do this in late spring early summer.

I snipped a few stems of our camellia about a month ago and put them in water in the cold greenhouse. cos we've been away and then Christmas I forgot them 'til today and am pleased to say they look healthy though no roots .think i'll stick them round edge of pot with gritty ericaceous compost and hope for best
