Yesterday was Candlemas Day, half way between the shortest day and Spring equinox, Mar 21.

Ye Olde weather proverbes....

Also the day traditionally associated with snowdrops coming into flower.

 took me 50 mins to get through to docs only to be told no appointments left but i coud have a telephone consultation. Pointed out the problem so then was told there may be an appointment later but will have to wait for them to ring at 10

As the mornings get lighter seem to be sleeping in longer-didn't wake up till 8-what is that all about?

Did the early morning walk down the garden-surprisingly not that cold or windy-which was good -wouldn't want the flaps coming open on the dressing gown that early

Bother, yesterday was lovely for a change. Did some weeding in flower garden and prepared bed for broad beans in veg garden. Back aches. Looking at Gary's poem looks like we are to have more horrid weather. Grey and wet this morning.

Bunny, snap. I had a terrible night's sleep. Awake every couple of hours, but then, this is becoming normality for me since Jess has been born. Strange.

Anyways, cloudy sky, but the sun is trying, I can tell. Hopefully it will brighten up later. Plan so sort the bedroom out later, and a bit of ironing.

Thanks Becks, it's a weird one though.

I think mothers don't sleep so well after children are born as hormones are saying to keep an ear out for the child. It was the same for me. Next bad sleep time is the menopause!
