No there are some free sites - genes reunited only costs about £10 a year, but to get anywhere you need to pay. It is free if you go to local library where you will get an Ancestry link. Use of census you have to pay

Thought about it for a while, now both parents have "Left the Building" Just for interest sake more than ought else!  but at the mo, no way on earth will I have the time! Working full time!  Wanna get Lottie finished, n then need this year to concentrate on home gardens!

Hi Forkers--been up for awhile, but I'm cold, so may snuggle with a book under a blanket until this recalcitrant fire finally warms things up.

Thought of working outside on the railings, but after 10 minutes the wind was cutting like a knife, so I gave up.

Think I'll take up knitting or crochet again--need something to keep my hands busy, and to help with the non-smoking.

I did some family research years ago using Ancestry--but hit a dead end. I have great grandparents born in Ireland--that and their birthdates is all I know. The surname is Scott, which is all too common.They came to England, died in Scotland.

I have been reading and lurking but not feeling very chatty at the moment  We have had to wait 3 weeks for Aunties funeral  - it is tomorrow - also my birthday

I made up a basket of beautiful flowers to take to the funeral.

I enjoy doing a bit of family history ,too - I have a subscription to ancestry if anyone needs anything looking up

Hi all again ,just back from collecting daughters from work ,GW Friday night canceled in favour of rugby ,oh to have an input in the BBC schedule they have all day saturday and Sunday to play sports, i was so looking forward to the return of Monty and gang .
