Lol I'd be shocked to see a bus here let alone a double decker locals would stand pondering what 'that there contraption was

It's inspiring to see others gardens, definitely on a mission this yr to get it back to what I should be ..and with spring and winter interest for next yr ...

Lol Bunny, unless it was the hogwarts knight bus eh?

FloBear, I do love a boys toy.

I also back up all of my images & files immediately onto an external drive after my old computer died on me a few years ago and took everything with it.

Dave, I think that cute little guy is allowed a lie-in, he's just a baby

Morning all. Stiff legs today. Must be all that walking around yesterday . Feel the need for a very large coffee. Need to get motivated.

Watched the meteor programme last night - fascinating stuff . Glad Gary mentioned it and then Oh and son had political debate.

At that point , I went to bed.

Morning all. Thanks for advice about backing up. I'm a bit clueless about that sort of thing, but OH has backed up all my document files on a big memory stick. For the photos I get my favourites developed then I stick the best of those into albums. Think I'm on Album 27 now! But started that when I was first married in 1973. I read out what Flo said to OH and he's going to show me how to put them on discs, if he can workout how! I'm a bit nervous of computers incase I click on the wrong button and something awful happens, but OH had a career with them so he's not nervous. But he's 71 and retired so he's out of date.

Backing up files is on my To Do List

It won't be happening today as I'm heading for my parents' residential home to join in the celebrations for their 65th wedding anniversary today and Pa's 93rd birthday tomorrow!

OH must've posted pic of me hard at work in office ...wait til I see him later tut

You sound like my mum with computers Liz , she only used kindle (mine) as after having cataract op was missing reading (I enlarged the print and suddenly she was reading again) then got her an iPad .... And now emails me pics etc

OH does our backups as we almost lost loads when laptop dies few years back .

Morning All

Garden and washing beckns

I was told to back up but also to do what Liz does and have prints as technology changes and you could end up with photos you can't access, Printed photos never change. So my son gave me an album already started of baby photos for Christmas

Weeding fruit today and maybe attempt to seive compost (never done before) to put on fruit. I know you can purchase those seives with a handle but I will have to use trad type so that OH can see I can't manage then i'll be able to get the other sirt without an argument.

awww so cute

04/03/2013 at 10:46

Bjay, get your OH to make one, all I use s a 8 inch block of 2x2 with my hand to squash the soil through. The thing with that handle one, is what happens when you hit larger bits or stones? Maybe that's why it's a compost only sieve. Looks heavy to pick up to empty out the stuff that doesn't go through!. Morning all, more lawn removal scheduled today, hoping most will be done, rain forcast tuesday night, so I really have to get a shift on!

Merry Christmas all

Have had a Monday lie in -watched Mary and Martha-very sniffy viewing

Spring is supposed to arrive here this morning-the cloud is beginning to break up

Think I might galvanise the dahlias back into growth
