What about Sanvitalia-ever grown that?

06/03/2013 at 17:24

I had a sunflower in a hanging basket last year - not on purpose - it looked very strange, but I left it there for novelty.

I want the morning glory to climb up my metal butterflies

Evening All

Great idea regarding gallery thread Geoff, all in one place for all to enjoy, rather than scattered "Willy Nilly" (Oh No! Have mentioned the "Willy" word! What will this bring?)

See all have sap rising!  Don't ya just love the anticipation this time of year brings with it!

06/03/2013 at 17:38

No haven't Geoff - it looks nice though

Bjay , I always find them in the baskets  Obviously the birds.

Speaking of birds, spent an ''interesting'' half hour removing the fat ball residue from the ground underneath them.  Wish there was a solution to that.

Hi Dean Hows your Jock- Box ?  You do realise you are never going to live that down !

Felt like that all day today - loads of plants coming through. I always feel like I can sense Spring coming.

06/03/2013 at 17:51

In the last 15 miniutes-fat balls, willys and jock-boxes-all very sexist

06/03/2013 at 17:51

Jean! After last nights car insurance renewal, my Jock box shall be empty for the next few weeks!

Shall have to rely on hand outs

Fat ball scraping would bide well, stick em in my locker please!

Flo! I line my raised beds with landscape fabric, just the sides mind!

06/03/2013 at 18:07

Tried to post once

Flo, in view of what i have read on this post and others I am going to put landscape fabric around the sides but will still put the cardboad on the base as it's worked i y other 3.

What it does is suppress the weeds/grass until the and then de-composes when it is no longer  necessary.

Now to try and post

06/03/2013 at 18:08

You are either high risk Dean or have a big car

Which is it?

06/03/2013 at 18:10

When posting just meant this

06/03/2013 at 18:15

Still have to buy a staple gun though. Hey ho

06/03/2013 at 18:16

Unfortunately for me Geoff! Both!  It's the post code too apparently! , won't get into the politics of it on here!

But I suppose £470 fully comp for a year ain't as bad as some I've heard!

06/03/2013 at 18:18

Ours was a lot less-but then.....

 Cheese and spring onion

Evening everyone

A lot to catch up on

Star of Yelta is lovely

I have been very busy in the greenhouse sowing seeds and potting up cuttings - I was given 8 more varieties of chilli seeds so this year will be a bit of a chilli fest as I have already sown 6 varieties

I love growing them but not eating them

On saturday I had the family round for a tea party - with lots of cake

I made these for the children

Or would you prefer a sausage roll

Pam!!! I've just put back the weight I lost last week, looking at that feast
