This morning I have made this. Still needs painting, sides lining and positioning properly
dough is rising and about to mix in fruit
Bjay, good going . Presumably not too difficult to drag into position?
Neede 2 to lift it from patio to where it is now. Has to be made on solid surface, but I suppose someone more competent than me could do it in situ.
Only needs an electric drill/driver, holes etc are already done. There is capping to go on.
Watch this space should be finished by end of day

When I made Hot Cross buns the recipe said to put everything in at the start. It wouldn't rise properly and I ended up with Hot Cross rocks. Bjay, I see your dough has risen before you put the fruit in. What about the spice?

Liz - i have followed a new recipe. You do the first rise than add fruit and spice, then another rise and I have just shaped them and they are proving before cooking. If I were to do this recipe again I think I would add the spice to the flour as I have found it hard to get it evenly distributed - in fact it isn't - but I won't tell anyone. It is Paul Hollywoods recipe off the Good Food web site if you are interested

Liz & Bjay, I feel inspired now. If my yeast is in date I think I'll make Hot Cross Buns this evening. I love having them for breakfast, reminds me of being a child when we'd come downstairs to the smell of HC buns on Good Friday
Before we move I used ti make several lots - one went to M and all her little friends, one went round all the neighbours (wonder what they do now) and at least one lot for family and their friends who used to 'turn up' for them
I will give some to my nxt dr n', we are going to daughter tonight (won't be around) and she has text me early this morning about bringing some. Some I will leave for son2 and hopefully some fro me and OH - though I shouldn't really
