Geoff - You are so funny!

12/10/2012 at 15:09

I have been shredding paper, does anyone know how to do it without making so much mess

pottiepam your secret is safe with us.

Becks can I clarify, have they delivered?

12/10/2012 at 15:16

A little tip-put a carrier bag in the collecting box before you start shredding to contain the bits

12/10/2012 at 15:21

Carrier bag? I have just filled a bin liner maybe I should do it more frequently.

12/10/2012 at 15:24

A little tip -have a succession of carrier bags at the ready to put in the collecting box on a shredder before you start then transfer them into a bin bag for little mess and fuss

12/10/2012 at 15:29

I wish I could start again

12/10/2012 at 15:33

Does this mean the hoover will need to come out?

12/10/2012 at 15:34

No, not yet Kate. She estimated between 3.30pm and 4pm.

12/10/2012 at 15:34

Well Insomnia has asda delivered??

Moved from Cannock Chase2 half years ago. Do miss Hollybush and shop formerly known as 'Carol's'. have yet to find anything that good here.

Just came in from planting Norah Leigh took these photos. I think it's small but pretty

Can't post phtos GW.com won't let me try later

Then armed with this months GW and comments from you all about fritillaries dug up the muddy side of the lawn and planted them. Put a few in muddy flower bed as well to compare success rates

I get in a mess shredding even with carrier bag!

12/10/2012 at 15:35

I will have to hoover

Becks I have my fingers crossed.

12/10/2012 at 15:42

Thanks kate. I have to pick jess up at 4pm. Sods law they will come round the corner as I pull off.

Not yet bjay. Aah, Carols. She sold out to another company. Can't remember it's name now. Haven't been in for a good while. Normally pop in at Christmas time ( Yes, Geoff, I said the word. One strike for me, blah, blah, blah! ) when all the stuff is reduced.

12/10/2012 at 15:47

Becks not have not only let me down -worse than that you have let yourself down

I could relate a joke about the balloon famly that is an oldie but goldie

12/10/2012 at 15:49

I don't know if it was a bloke or woman who owned it. Never knew/saw the owner. Just presumed by the name it was a she.

12/10/2012 at 15:51

Yes, but Geoff, I was only saying what time of year I popped in there, not actually discussing the event itself. Maybe I should have put December time.

12/10/2012 at 15:54

There is an MP called Hilary Benn-he is a bloke-what where they thinking?

Carol Reed made films -another bloke

12/10/2012 at 15:54

bjay that plant looks lovely.

The shredder has now overheated

I am going to make some Christmas cards this weekend

12/10/2012 at 15:58

I have been digging. Why is it that however carefully you dig up your potatoes you always miss some? Just re- dug some of that area and found quite a few!

Also found quite a few enormous worms.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to persuade OH to visit the plot with me to carry home the potatoes and pumpkins. They're heavy!

Will shop for the onesie later!

Hello,all---YAY! It's finally raining, and the forecast is for several days, so the cistern is being replenished as we speak, and outside it smells divine. I have finished potting up my bulbs--mostly tulips, Dutch iris, and alliums. I have also planted 2 new bearded iris--Ancient Echoes and Midnight Oil. I have several perennials to move, but will wait until the dusty ground has absorbed some moisture. Meanwhile, there's lots of leaves to rake!!! Spring will tell how many plants are lost.

Re photo Background is fuchsia called Delta Sarah, just love it. Supposed to be hardy. Variegated plant infront is Norah Leigh.

Also in bed is rose Margaret Merril, a deep burgaundy Heuchera called Shanghai and on post - not realy visible is Clamatis rubra marginata. Scent so strong like almonds. All plants are new thisyear

I always thought Carolwas a she until my son met him
