Apologies Geoff, I should have known it was BGT, but I'm not a fan of those programmes so that's my excuse. Will try harder to get things right.

Becks- our grape vine is pants this year, lot of lovely foliage, but the grapes haven't

come to anything. Took this pec a couple of days ago.

They are very interesting to grow, and ours took 5 years to really get established.

We usually get loads to make either grape jelly or juice, it'' delicious so have a go with your cuttings, best of luck.

Thanks Chris! How will I know they are edible? Or should I ask, what happens if I eat a decorative one??

13/10/2012 at 17:52

I thought all grapes were edible if they are dessert grapes they will taste fairly sweet, but that depends on the amount of sun they get. Now doubt someone far more knowledgeable than me will be able to put you right on the safety of eating them, Sorry I can't be of any more help. We bought the vines from a GC and they were a named variety on white and one red.

Becks I have a decorative one and it does not produce grapes just the leaves.

Does anyone know when I can move a cyclamen, I planted mine under a tree and each day I have to brush the leaves off.

Kate - after flowers have died when leaves are there. Mind you I moved some the other day and they seem quite happy. Wish I had the spring ones - autumn ones are hederofolium, spring ones are coum. Gosh all you guru's and i can help on cyclamen . Dead chuffed
