Well the 'b' rain has stopped here now & the sun come back out!

OH has only just left work, he's not best pleased. 2hr drive home but at least I can slob out in front of tv!

Lovely and sunny here at the moment but I'm guessing it won't last!

Been for lunch at the GC with two friends - ladies that don't work! So I left them mooching through the Xmas decorations and scented candles to come back to my desk. But I have decided to get some of those long twigs with little fairy lights on - will look lovely in the corner of the dining room! Will go back next week to get them - but can't decide if I want gold or silver 'twigs'.

Lottie! Weekly bath!!! Do you think I'm made of money?? It's nearly winter now, so have had to reduce my baths to monthly, to allow for the central heating consumption!

Hi everyone.

I'm just sitting down with a cuppa after a busy morning. Just had a display from the Red Arrows. They are based about 5 miles from us so we get to see them when they practise.

We went to friends at Nottingham for 3 nights, the weather was so bad we really could only mooch about the garden centre, and we went to Ikea, managed to spend quite a lot on things I didn't know I needed. They do a very good breakfast for £1.25, most impressed, but then it doesn't take much to impress me.

We went to Rufford Country Park on Wednesday and the lake came up so quickly the car park had to be evacuated, the ford overflowed, and we beat a hasty retreat, it's frightening how fast and easily you could get into trouble.

Must go and see if the potatoes are cooked for the fish pie. OH birthday on Sunday so we are having a get together on Saturday evening, I'm trying to get a bit of prep done in advance.

Out tonight to friends for another birthday do. Her OH is cooking Indian I thinks
