Jean, my OH used to work in Skem before he retired. The company moved from Preston, it was a bit of a trek from Rossendale, but mostly motorway. Have you been to the lavender farm I don't think it's too far from you? They do nice tea and cakes and have some lovely aromatherapy products

Have to get to Huddersfield, home, and then to Worcester tomorrow! Let's hope I don't need that sledge and huskies, the weather forecast says the snow will ne right down that route. Still snowing here, but road OK.

Jean, are we identifying a plant? Or weed? can't make it out!

It is that shadow in the foreground- the ghost of Ernie

Glyn ,  I didn't even know that existed but will check it out. We are at the very edge of Skem near Burscough. Hubbie worked in Huddersfield !

Geoff, You DO know I'm joking.

But are you Jean?-this could be a dark secret that you have let slip

Huddersfield-that is Yorkshire right?-or is it uddersfield where cows graze?

13/01/2013 at 19:45

This is all that books fault. I never did borrow it. Apparently there's more than one 50 shades of grey.

Glyn, just googled the lavendar farm . It's in Rainford which isn't far from us so thanks for that info.

I could be a secret speedo wearer.

It' still snowing but not as heavy now.

13/01/2013 at 19:52

Jean, it is not for us to question how or why. Just to take the mickey for it!!

13/01/2013 at 20:04

Don't forget to wave tomorrow then. So far lots of ice -no snow

Yes Prime minister now

13/01/2013 at 20:12

Well, I've just looked out my bedroom window, and at some point, it did snow, but it isn't now!! Cars are lightly spinkled, and the path is white. So, that's it then! We survived! Yay!! here comes summer!

13/01/2013 at 20:21

Stopped here as well  Hope thats the last of it.  Just removing duct tape from the windows. Now , what am I going to do with 12 loaves ?

13/01/2013 at 20:23

How you got 5 fishes Jean?-I feel another sermon coming on

13/01/2013 at 20:24

No, just a lonely tin of salmon.

13/01/2013 at 20:27

My OH has just commented that I talk to you lot more than I talk to him!!

Countryfile weather forecast showed the snow will all be down the east coast. I'm safe then!

Becks, suggest you hide those venison steaks you've got in your freezer!

Blokes now watching Uncle Buck - although they've seen it loads of times before. Everyone home, well fed, and warm.

13/01/2013 at 21:06

Are you supposed to talk to OH-what all the time, every day?

13/01/2013 at 21:25

AAAH is that to cuddle up to and keep you warm or is it modelling a hat?

13/01/2013 at 21:31

Young and cute

Not all the time, just now and again! He and son no. 2 got the remote (similar to the problem Jo has) and now there's some stargate film on (yawn). Ripper Street is recording.

I've had a browse on ebay for stuff. Mum needs knitting wool. Much cheaper on there but I'm not sure what exactly she needs. Don't knit myself!
