Jean, my OH used to work in Skem before he retired. The company moved from Preston, it was a bit of a trek from Rossendale, but mostly motorway. Have you been to the lavender farm I don't think it's too far from you? They do nice tea and cakes and have some lovely aromatherapy products

Have to get to Huddersfield, home, and then to Worcester tomorrow! Let's hope I don't need that sledge and huskies, the weather forecast says the snow will ne right down that route. Still snowing here, but road OK.

Glyn , I didn't even know that existed but will check it out. We are at the very edge of Skem near Burscough. Hubbie worked in Huddersfield !

Glyn, just googled the lavendar farm . It's in Rainford which isn't far from us so thanks for that info.

I could be a secret speedo wearer.

It' still snowing but not as heavy now.

Well, I've just looked out my bedroom window, and at some point, it did snow, but it isn't now!! Cars are lightly spinkled, and the path is white. So, that's it then! We survived! Yay!! here comes summer!

Not all the time, just now and again! He and son no. 2 got the remote (similar to the problem Jo has) and now there's some stargate film on (yawn). Ripper Street is recording.

I've had a browse on ebay for stuff. Mum needs knitting wool. Much cheaper on there but I'm not sure what exactly she needs. Don't knit myself!
