 My house, looking dreary.

 But I LOVE icicles!

Roads are bad round here, even the main ones! Just saw a bus skid down a hill.

18/01/2013 at 13:55

Chris, you must be in the only place that hasn't had fresh snow !  Roads bad here as well . Getting out of our cul-de-sac was pretty horrendous earlier on but managed to get back from shops before the snow got really heavy. Hope those icicles stay put Becks, wouldn't fancy one of them landing on me.

Love the video , elephants having a (snow) ball.

Might slip one down Jess's back later!

18/01/2013 at 13:59

Good luck tomorrow everyone but especially Bjay and Caz!

18/01/2013 at 14:06

its just done to me what it did to Bjay!! My post from yesterday reappeared. Anyway, I'm home safely. It was treacherous - not my driving but the other idiots on the road!

I've just let Alfie out into the garden - I opened the back door, and he sniffed at the snow and looked at me as if to say 'what on earth?' then he jumped out into it and ran round like a looney. I tried to take a photo but he didn't keep still for long enough!

Now to have some lunch!

Good to see you home and safe Lottie.

18/01/2013 at 14:15

Thanks Becks!

Just been outside to look at the road. It's on a bus route, so is normally gritted. But just a couple of cars gingerly crawling along....

I spoke to the postman (who was wearing shorts!). He said the post might not be going out tomorrow.
18/01/2013 at 14:17

It's stopped snowing here now, but still v. cold out there. Have fed birds & put stuff in various wheely bins.

The road had been gritted! Wow, now if someone would clear the pavements......

Glad you're back safe Lottie. J.

Afternoon All Freezing Forkers!
Hello to Lyn, Flowerbird and Darren

Had a quick catch up. Been at work but sitting with a coffee for a browse.
Not too much snow here. Had a covering, enough for footprints but nowhere near enough for a snowman.
Forecast to arrive this evening, will wait and see

Glad it is Friday! Hope everyone and their roof/garden/heating etc stays safe!

Hello Nola - and everyone else.

Snow has stopped and temp. here has gone up a degree so now there's a lot of dripping going on. I don't think it will clear before nightfall, though, so we'll have lovely ice everywhere. Supposed to be going to play rehearsal tongiht, OH is clearing driveway as we speak.

Same here Darren. Icicles on icicles now. Novelty definately worn off, looks pretty though

Stil very grey, heavy sky. Cat asked to go out and spat and growled at the snow, not very happy but she does have a clean litter tray just in case!
