I am not happy, the Head waited till 12.30 to close the school and then I had a very dodgy drive home. Just to top it off I slipped when I got out of the car and I have hurt my knee.   I need a snow day on Monday as compensation.

 Snow what snow???

Oh dear Kate, hope your knee is not too badly hurt.

18/01/2013 at 15:38

The weather lady said possible snow in the East for Sunday/Monday Kate-but all this praying is not doing the old knees much good

Bashing a knee is ouch ah ouch territory

Lovely doggy pics -afternoon Nola

Now what I need is a nice warm log burner.

Geoff I am afraid it is years of dancing that has damaged my knees.

18/01/2013 at 15:50

Stiil at least you are home-you can have the next 2 days off

18/01/2013 at 15:52

Oh Kate - meany old head     And poor you with the hurt knee

Dogs aren't daft, are they, Bjay? Sadly no point lighting our wood burner as we're going out this evening.

18/01/2013 at 15:54

I had 3 hours of "Miss can we go home, Miss it is snowing, Miss when can we go home" I need 3 days off

18/01/2013 at 15:59

I had a snooze.

Nurse thinks could be anaemic as very pale & yes tired. Last time she saw me was just after Austrian holiday when had a tan & hadnt had as many doses of Herceptin. Still am in clinic soon, will be just as easy asking for a blood test there as trying to get into see GP. Then would need a practice nurse appointment to get it done & back to GP for results. Hospital will do in couple of hrs...... In the meantime shall check out my diet & continue with the vitamins.

Kate- put it up, rest. Guess you know the score. J.

Kate-I trust they got extra homework

You could pull a sickie for Monday-knees are crucial if you are on you feet doing sums all day

Just nipped out to take a couple pics in case snow stops - Now been snowing for about 10 hours, definately getting heavier. reduced to watching Bergerc

Home, sweet home! Just asked Jess if she wanted to do a snow angel, but she refused, saying she didn't want to get her clothes wet! Asked if she wanted to make a snowman? Wrong snow, like Gary said. Wouldn't stick. Asked if she wanted to make snowtracks all round the garden. Ended in tears as she went down the border, and it came to her knees, and made her trousers wet!! At least I offered.

18/01/2013 at 16:20

Flo how are you going to go out?

Geoff I always set too much homework,

A sickie for a bad knee sounds a great idea

18/01/2013 at 16:24

Did you ask Jess if she wanted to sign her name in the snow

You will need to have a stick for Tuesday Kate-to get the sympathy-these things need planning

18/01/2013 at 16:28

We have had a sprinkling of snow, if it was rain it would be drizzle, just a light covering..

Does any of you watch Michael Portillo's Railway journeys 6.30 BBC2? this evening he is visiting Lincoln, and the Cathedral, about 3 miles from where I live, Take a look if you have time, I think you might enjoy it.

Trip to Stratford looks like it might have to be cancelled but will decide on Sunday. I have been watching Father Brown this afternoon and have caught up with the soaps.

Lovely pictures of the dogs, our cat hasn't been out for days takes one look and then at me, I can see what she's thinking, "you must be joking" turns round and heads back to the sofa in the snug.

Kate. Sorry you have hurt your knee's ouch!  and Jo hope you are soon feeling better, a suntan always makes you look better, no matter how you feel

Don't know which is worse, our cold or the heat in Australia. The heat I think.

Cheers for now

Good idea about the stick I might be able to use it to keep the kids in line

Chris it is so annoying when you have something nice planned and it is cancelled by the weather.

Becks when I was a kid I never understood why people wanted to go out and play in the snow.

18/01/2013 at 16:40

My thoughts exactly kate! I never did it. I think she will follow in my footsteps.

18/01/2013 at 16:41

Took this of the mushroom at bottom of garden.

A chair and a whip is my preference.

Kate, as long as it's not horribly icy we're going 2 miles up the road in OH's car. It's not hilly round here and everything's gone very melty. The show must go on luvvies!

Flo be careful out there, remember your blanket and flask.
