It's so nice to look out onto the tulips at this time of year.

Hello everyone,

Some great pictures.

lilylouise I have watched your vid & what a fantstic garden you have, must be a real pleasure to walk through & enjoy.

Loving the seating area David K.

tdc, that is a really good picture of the peacock butterfly.

homebird (love the name) I know what you mean about the tulips, I planted my first last year & enjoying them now.

This is my favourite part of my garden (for now)

These were taken this weekend when the sun was out

It has to be said that the tulips somehow seem exceptionally good this year.

Here is an unusual seating area for you. Taken today.

Taken last summer in its first season as a wild flower area.

And this is the main seating area. An oak framed gazebo that I constructed approx 3yrs ago. (It's how I earn my living)

This is still very much a work in progress, as I want to extend the paved area, add a trellis and develop (start) planting.

Sometime ago (elsewhere) we did a thread 'show us your shed'. This is mine, well little workshop really...not my potting shed, which is very uninspiring.

Anymore?

Re straight SP stems, there is a reason for 'wonky', but perhaps on another thread?

This was the shed/workshop that I built at our last house.

Now that we have moved, I sadly just have this little tool shed that I constructed from scrap materials for approx £60.00 -70.00

Btw....this is how straight the stems of SPs need to be to show them.

Like them, Eddie...is that a barometer on the current shed?

Pam, please don't show your OH the untidy sate of my shed....given his neatness in all things he would be horrified.

If you don't know by now, my number one garden fascination is all the marvellous plant shapes and forms and the colours and textures of leaves. (I don't know if there is a proper word for that, but its infinitely absorbing to me)

That's why Spring is my favourite month because I get to study foliage before the flowers take over. I paint in oils and store hundred of pictures for reference.

So, here's what got me out in  the rain today:

Wow...I have so much to learn from you all

23/04/2012 at 13:51

Baby steps Yvonne,  just enjoy one project this spring and as your experience and interest grow, so shall your courage and multi-tasking abilities. Really, it will come.

And here is where the photos go.

Lovely pictures everyone!  We have some extremely talented and knowledgeable people on here.  I have greehouse, veg plot and shed/workshop envy!  Wintersong, we're gonna have to share Eddie J! <laugh>

Lilylou, I love a glass of Sherry! Will you have some waiting for me at your Arbour when I come to visit in the Summer?

Some old and my latest pics...some of the Beeb Refugees may already have seen these.  Sorry if I'm repeating myself.
