Well, as it's a fast day in this house today pay is in black coffee only - but the kettle's always hot! And you can store up merits for Cake Tomorrow!!!
Morning workers, and those laid off, and lazy like me
Had a covering of snow but it has now gone, 5C cloudy and looking like rain.
Feel tired this morning it must be due to the running from window to window wailing about the snow.
Need to do a SM shop, maybe tomorrow as I imagine it'll be busy today with people stock piling and buying snow shovels and sledges.
I used to travel by train some years ago and I found in the summer the heating was on and in winter it wasn't. At rush times two carriages and at quiet times three. Don't suppose it will long before we have the wrong snow on the tracks.
p.s. It sounds like Mrs Grumpy has got up this morning....ME...
MrsG buy a lot and sell them on at a profit
Morning KEF Wrap up warm SM tomorrow early-ish for me I think. Will need more coffee at this rate
And we'd better keep our pied a terre in Cornwall supplied with cake so baking tomorrow.
I suppose Woody will expect cake too, now he's attained elevated status
Mrs G - on non fast days we eat fairly normally, although I always try to keep fairly low on carbs as they make me feel slow and sluggish. However, as OH is as slim as a whip and has a high metabolism I have to stoke him with carbs regularly otherwise he looks pale and wan -
I don't make cakes so I'll do the soup. Got some nice leeks in the garden..so it will be leek & potato with a good shake of cayenne pepper.
Sounds good to me
Cold...sunshine forecast tho! So hopefully will get grass cut later
Ok then dove! As long as the cake supply is continuing
Keep well and healthy folks
Cake will be supplied Verdun - sort of 'ground rent'
Is that about Tudor thing? I saw some of it but was obsessed with the snow, never seen any before
One little job I must do after checking my gardening notes book ( sheets of A4 increasing daily ) is cut Lobelia tania to the ground and mulch & put markers where it is in preparation for slug alert in the spring.
Wasn't impressed with the sheep dipping last evening
Think it might be next week - but thinking of you anyway Stacey - it's horrid waiting for results ((hugs))
