Mrs garden...you saw "lots of old faces".

My old mum is so tactless.....she said my niece's partner is "fat".  At a funeral she said to my cousin, "oh you look so old".  Earlier in the year, at the dentist, someone approached her she didnt recognise but had known for years and said  "I thought you were dead".   None of these were intended insults just her way in her old age.

Garden Girl - your bug box looks very professional - hope the bugs like it.

In fact it looks like a garden sculpture.

Nice pics Gg.
Verdun, 20 or so years since I've seen most of the old faces but they don't look ANY different!!! And the skinny ones are still skinny, quiet ones still quiet etc...
23/11/2013 at 19:44

Often people say "you don't look any different" to which I repy "well, I must have been the oldest looking schoolboy then"

It is funny though ....how we recognise people years later.  Someone recognised me during the summer from my days at primary school.  Don't understand that unless my school uniform gave it away. It still fits    Or, maybe the catapault poking out of my pocket gave me away .

23/11/2013 at 21:33
When we were young we lived near a large communal area of grass and the council provided a sand pit there. It was great fun. There was always a bonfire on it Nov 5th. We'd watch when the big truck delivered a top up, so exciting. Thanks for the memory Gg!
