Hi all,

Verdun - I had a look at Woottens and got carried away - some great stuff there and many at half price due to the time of year I expect.    Looks like I may have to build another cold frame to overwinter some of them now though!

Love apple pie and custard

Have i missed something, there are 3 threads again for forkers and rising from the compost has dissapeared and so has my spell check !!!

KEF

Don't know about your spellcheck Lily. The rest don't ask. Post where you want to post. It's been another one of those days. I've loads of stewed apple but no custard.

fidgetbones video(s) amazing! (I like the barking owl)

Had bubble'n'squeak with chipolatas & fried tomatoes with a helping of cheescake with strawbs & blackberries to follow for our repast here in conwy valley - nice to be cosy & just listening to the rain outside!

have a good evening all xx

Highland Jeannie

Glorious day here today (sorry  to those who had rain).

Moved a gold-coloured conifer (can't remember the name, but gc's & supermarkets sell them for £2-£3), it's about 3' high now.  Problem was, that I discovered some evil looking roots & dug down & down & down.....  Managed to remove most but had to leave 2 bits, hmm, I wonder what little horror will appear next year ??

They're like thin, white, brittle carrots.

Ah well, must go & get ready to go out.

Oh not again why can't everyone just be nice to each other Can we not act like adults and rise above all this unpleasantness.  Treat each other like we would like to be treated.  I've only been on here a couple of months, it was so friendly and helpful at first

fidgetbones

Thank you, dolgarrog. How far did you get?'

Hello everyone, I've probably not helped matters but there we go. It's still raining, going to cook tea now. Have a good evening

Bob, yes Woottens is excellent. Had great hellebores from them too. ,always perfectly packed large quality plants.

Lily.....it will be fine.

fidgetbones

Oooooooo!  Thanks fidget.  Dont  tell anyone else tho.

Matty2

Are Woottens good quality? Do need some hellebores this new season

fidgetbones

Try ashwood nurseries for hellebores.special open day in February. We could have a meet  up.

Woottens are superb - I was fortunate enough to live very close by for quite a few years

Matty2

Provided the winter isn't very bad the February one should be full of interest

Not too far from me either

Busy-Lizzie

Evening all. I'm at my daughter's near Poitiers and her OH has managed to find the WiFi number. First thread I've looked at so don't know what's been going on elsewhere, but all my favourite people seem to be here, so it seems OK. Glad you haven't gone Punk doc. Don't you dare think of going Verdun. I do another forum too, but they are both different so I'll carry on with both.

We had chicken curry and apple tart for lunch with the children so had a salady selection of things from the fridge with fish fingers for tea. Children now bathed, in bed and asleep, hopefully.

Evening all. Very wet again here today. Just taken on a second allotment plot, but weather is holding me back from clearing it and getting it tidy. Not cold, but where is the sun? Anyone seen it?

Off to eat home-made raspberry and apple crumble. Yum yum

Matty2

We have flood warnings here for the next couple of days
