first year ,my first hibiscus, when and how often do you feed them?

Not too much feed I,think.  Just a scattering of fish blood n bone in early spring.

They grow v quickly with relatively brittle branches so I prune annually to keep compact.

Pruning after flowering should suffice with an established plant.  A general feed in Spring should keep it happy  They don't seem to be particularly heavy feeders if in the correct situation ( and they will seed readily too ).

Although they like well-drained soil they're quite thirsty, especially at flowering time, so don't forget to water in the summer
