I love the new growth on my myrtle tree - intoxicating!
is it just me but i find curry plant smells of celery!?!?
Is it edible? I got some from the local asian store for a curry and it looked and tasted like privet cuttings!
KEF - Hawthorn says cat pee to me too, and I know what you mean about Pyracantha but I can forgive them since they are so great for wildlife
I can't stand the smell of methylated spirit, makes me feel really sick. Also don't like Jeyes fluid really but needs must
Love them both Tracey....
I think I need help....
Fertiliser, meth spirit and Jeyes.......possibly Fairy With a name like yours I thought you would be more of a roses and lavender girl LOL
And Dettol, and melty tar on the road Tracey.....
I love Eucalyptus crushed in my hand though
Edd, re: curry plant it might be edible, no pun intended However it isn't used for culinery purposes. It's leaves look and are like lavender more suited for aroma. Curry leaves from an Asian shop are for cooking with, never smelled them but I assume if used like bay leaves they add taste, but not heat.
Glue sniffers on new thread please. Lol.
oh yes lisa
As far as I can recall, the curry leaves from Asian shops are quite 'bay like' as you say KEF, and the leaves of Curry plants just have a curry smell when crushed but aren't edible. Best not try them Edd. Stick with a vindaloo mate!
Not everyone will relate to this but I love it when some mornings, when it's a bit damp, I can smell the sea air, I love that smell but it's quite hard to describe, sort of salty.
I love the smell when making jam, lemon curd or marmalade too, especially lemon curd
