passion flower

HI all,can anyboby tell me if the passion flower plants all bare  fruit, i used to have one with terrific smallish orange sweet  fruit about the size of a satsuma ,now iv moved i want to get another but am told that only Passiflora Edulis gets fruit even the G/Cen dont seem to know the answer or where to get one from,  if they all fruit no probs,but has anyone got one that has edible fruits and what sort do they have PLease

I have one with edible fruits but alas I have not the name for it.I have grown passionflower seeds and they do fine but this year I had no fruits,maybe too much rain.

hi flower ,iv took a cutting from someone but they dont know what sort,im  hopeing they all fruit i,ll haveto wait and see doesnt seem to be anyone who,s got any knowledge on them ,shame cus they are really beautifull in flower

Hi Alan, I posted a thread asking for identification of a fruit on the 26th January which was identified as passion flower.   I'm not sure if there is an easier way for you to find the thread but the plant in question (not in my garden!) still has lots of fruit on it and I would be happy to post one to you.  Again, don't know how you would let me have your address but people obviously do pass this information on to take adfvantage of the seed swap.

Many thanks for that useful information sotongeoff.  Who knows, I may well get involved with the seed swapping members at a later date when I have more time and know more about what I'm trying to do with my garden.
