Are Red Robins a 'Hard wood' shrub? When is the best time of year to propegate the red robin?

You mean hard wood as regards cuttings?  Another thread currently on the forum refers to this but you can take cuttings now,or hard wood cuttings in September.  Take 3 or 4" stems and insert straight Imto the ground

Thanks Verdun. Does that mean I don't have to pot them in a 'loam based cuttings compost' like I read somewhere? I have two large red robins and want to get as many cuttings as possible from it so any tips/advice is very welcome.
