Hazel --

Aww, just posted on other thread

Ladybird4

Hazel - don't worry. I read your last post, as will other later arrivals before they spot that 'two little ducks' has been posted.

Ladybird4

Joyce - wise decision to make use of dry time - even if a fleece is needed. SM can wait.

Should've thought to call it 'Two Little Ducks' LB!  🐤🐤

Sunny here but soopermarket mayhem calls.....oh woop di dee.  Anyway, I need to give serious thunks to which bit  of the garden to tackle next........got a skinny, short strip of border between path and grass....might clean that up ready for replanting tulip bulbs......decisions, decisions......

Joyce my dad always talked about "planking" things (usually keys). I hadn't actually thought about it till now...we just said it.

The weather here is RIDICKILIS! It's blowing a gale and I'm seriously considering warm trousers FOR INDOORS!!!!! Apparently it's 12°. My eye! it would skin a fairy!

I've been festigating steam mops. It seems they are either 5* or 1* and nothing in between. I'm no wiser. I'll probably just go for the Thane one as suggested by fellow Rezzers then I can moan at them if it goes horribly wrong.

Time for another cup of kick-start methinks.

Can only 'see' your 7am posting Hazel on the other 21 thread.

Oh sorry F'edge I forgot to answer you.

My local auction is a typical country auction complete with comedy characters.

My purchases include a £9 Flymo for doing edges, £10 pound table for "doing up", £8 shelves (same), £9 Brabantia compact whirliline (brand new & with ground sleeve taped to it). £3 curtain poles...  The best bits are the socialising, the craic and the chips. Oh yes, there's a canteen!  I know how to live.

As a nut remover/spitter outter I can only say well done! What are they gong to call it now though? A Whip????

One of my old dogs once found a WW wrapper and joy of joys someone had left the nut inside. I've seldom seen such a happy face on a dog!!

Hazel --

Forest, good morning. It wasn't anything too interesting so you haven't missed much

Just saying that half seven this morning a stonking great council truck arrived, nosisily, to pick up old furniture etc from next doors. Buyers must definitely be ,moving in soon..........

Joyce21

re WW - what's next for the chop/downsizing?

Ladybird4

Well I've never been a fan of WW apart from the nuts but they were a real favourite of my Mum. Like Wagon Wheels they have shrunk in size I think.

Ladybird4

Now if they filled the Whip with Salted Caramel I might be persuaded

Hope you have nice new neighbours Hazel..

PP...auctions are so exciting - seems that you have got some great bargains there.

Apparently there's a 'caramel' one, LB.  You could always add your own salt I suppose......

I think it'll be a Walnot Whip now.......bring back the coffee ones, that's not a big ask, is it?

pansyface

OI! CAN YOU LOT SLOW DOWN A BIT PLEASE? I HAVE BEEN HIRPLING ALONG TRYING TO CATCH UP FOR THE LAST HALF HOUR.

GOOD MORNING, BY THE WAY.

WALNUT WHIP. THE LAST TIME I SAW ONE OF THOSE IT WAS ON A CHINA PLATE BEING OFFERED BY MY OLD MUM TO HER BEST FRIEND DURING THEIR WEEKLY AFTERNOON TEA CHATS. SOME RATHER LEWD JOKES RELATING TO THE NAME WERE AROUND AT THE TIME AND I REMEMBER SNIGGERING AT THE SIGHT OF IT. THE JOKES HAVE LONG BEEN CONSIGNED TO THE RUBBISH BIN THAT IS MY MEMORY.

I SAW IN THE PAPER TODAY THAT ROAD WORKS IN SUFFOLK INCLUDED ROAD SIGNS WARNING "CATS EYES REMOVED" (NO APOSTROPHE, SORRY) BUT SOME PEOPLE GOT UPSET AT THE THOUGHT OF ANIMAL CRUELTY AND COMPLAINED SO THEY HAD TO CHANGE THE SIGNS TO "ROAD STUDS REMOVED". TRUE.

I LOVE AUCTIONS BUT I HAVE TO BE KEPT AWAY FROM THEM. MY HAND HAS A NASTY HABIT OF WAVING IN THE AIR AT THE WRONG TIME AND I COME HOME WITH A LOAD OF JUNK.

HAVE A GOOD WALK FEDGE. I HOPE IT STAYS DRY FOR YOU.

AND HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYBODY ELSE TOO. SYL.

Ladybird4

Hmmmm sprinkling sea salt on a WW - can't see that happening but it is a thought.

I once injected a vanilla WW with a strong coffee solution.  Disgusting.

Right.....soopermarket calls!  Better look lively......sees you all later
