Hello Nutcutlet, I have a lot of hellebore and aquilgia seeds that I set last year and are all up, do you mean that the rest of the seeds are no good this year, should I throw those away and collect fresh later this year?
I think est sown fresh but people on this forum have talked about successful spring sowing. I sow my own seed fresh and bought seed around midwinter. I try to sow as nature does. When seeds are dropping I collect and sow.
Thats what I did last year, and they all germinated, I will cut the losses and collect fresh this year.
Good idea. I'm hoping to collect from some really dark hellebores this year. and some little tight very dark aquilegias
The aquilegias I sowed were off a plant that my daughter call maroon, If it flowers this year, I will post a piccy.
Will the hellebores and aquilegias come true from collecting our own seeds.
They do tend to all mix up together and over time I weed out the dirty pinks.
Hello Lyn My fuchsia arrived and are nicely potted on into small pots thank you, they are sitting on my window sill indoors
Might not be doing much seed swapping at min but not sown much yet too cold
May be we should do a plant or cutting swap more?
Will have to take a photo when bit bigger Lyn to show all
Forum not sending me messages again even though tick on instant keeps doing that
May be we should do a photo seed swap of what seeds we have swapped growing?
As in take photos post on computer or updates of how seeds/plant/cuttings growing how well doing
I'm AGAIN listing the seeds I still have and have added some more now that the mags are giving free seeds again. If you don't have anything to swap but fancy anything please just ask- it is such a waste otherwise.

Can I have the Snake Gourds please, thought I had some seeds from last year but they must have been sown. Hopefully I'll have better luck with them this time around, not a single gourd last year.
Here is some photos of the seed swap so far the false sunflower coming up and varigated honesty
I will be sowing more seed swap seed soon
Anyone else got the seed swap seeds sown?
Good to see the false sunflower coming up, have you put it in a large pot/container? Don't think I've got any sprouting through yet.
It is in a potato bag with left over compost from when I did the potatoes, may be bit warmer than in the ground
Good idea, the ground here is slowly defrosting after the snow, which I hope is the last. When the weather warms up a bit, willl open up the coldframes and have a look and see what I've got going from the seed swop and take some pics
Bev. Received my seeds yesterday. Thank you.
Any of these left?
