Thought I'd put a few pix together of our hols to let anyone who's interested see some of our lovely Scottish scenery.
It's often hidden behind mist, cloud and rain so here's what it actually looks like!
This is where we stayed
Fort Augustus - showing part of the Caledonian Canal
one of the locks on the canal
The monument at Glenfinnan, looking out over Loch Shiel
panoramic view of Loch Shiel
The view from Arisaig, on the west coast south of Mallaig
Ardmair Bay, just north of Ullapool on the west coast. The view my parents will always have, and the fairylets are enjoying it too
Looking south from the beach at Ullapool
The eastern end of the same beach
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Fantastic fairygirl.
Beautiful photos to compliment the beautiful weather.
and some more...
The approach to Inverness's 'local' hill 'Ben Wyvis'. Summit is out of sight at the farthest end of the plateau, about one and a half miles from that first top 'An Cabar'
and a view out towards the Beauly Firth from just below the summit. Patch of snow still lying in the eastern side of the corrie
Loch Beinn a' Mheadhain in Glen Affric
The 'Harry Potter' viaduct at Glenfinnan
The north west side of Nevis, with Carn Mor Dearg and part of the arrete between it and the summit
Urqhuart Castle on Loch Ness
And finally - some moody views of Loch Ness
....but no sign of Nessie ...
Hope you enjoyed our little tour of the Scottish Highlands

How absolutely beautiful - thanks for sharing
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
RB - we're all quite small - especially oldest fairylet - so it was only 'snug'...
Glad you all enjoyed them - I won't bore you with the other two hundred...
Do you think I could get a job with the tourist board?...
