Radio 4 might be a good alternative Bunny, I find it very peaceful. Maybe sneak on Womens Hour, Desert Island Discs or The Archers when he won't notice

I was encouraged a while back by someone on this forum to get a cheap second hand set of Geoff Hamilton's DVDs from Amazon. Very interesting, educational and he just gets on with it instead of wasting time on charm offensives.
