Using Newspaper in the Garden

In my opinion it is as newspaper is 100% biodegradable and most of the ink is soy based and red worms love it, but other posts on the web dissagree with this. I made a video a while back using newspaper for a worm bin and it works well, but some debate about the ink. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DTsex06ppE&playnext=1&list=PL749F33993FED29DA&feature=results_video

Never heard of not using newspaper-bearing in mind we all handle it nearly everday -what harm can it do to anyone-let alone in the soil

There is a lot of rubbish on the internet

Praps the newspaper worries belong to glossy mags. Bound to be more chemicals there and they'd take ages to rot down. We used to get fish and chips in newspaper but that was before we started seeing problems everywhere.
