Panda and I have been planning a trip to visit the Old Vicarage Gardens at East Ruston in Norfolk - we thought that a Saturday would be good then any of those who still have to attend salt mines during the week could come along too!
How does Saturday 19th July sound to people? I've been before - as I recall parking is pretty good and OH recalls very good tea and cake
There's also some chickens and animals so something for smaller people to look at if anyone brings an apprentice gardener along
We thought that some of us might go for a pub meal locally afterwards so if anyone's interested in that idea let us know.
Sounds good. I shall put it on the calendar but it's more probably than definitely at the moment
Funnily enough, it's in my diary too Nut
I'm going for a bump
Yes, I'm in!
I wonder if Alan 4711 will be able to make it?
He's close to me, so maybe
Glad your on board Snoodle
I'm up for it; Nut, I could take you; it is 1.75 hours going via Cromer to avoid Norwich traffic.
OK artjak, thank you
I've been wanting to visit E Ruston for ages and would love to join you if that's OK.
Hurrah! Looking forward to meeting you Topbird
Likewise - always good to meet fellow gardeners.
Hope they do coffee & walnut cake in the tea room - it's the law that I have to have a slice with builders tea after walking round a garden - either that or a half of Adnams with smokey bacon crisps
Well, some of us are thinking of a pub meal afterwards - and I'm an Adnams bitter girl too!
Will wait & see what my other plans are for that weekend (might need to be back in the evening) but otherwise would be nice to join you.
Bumping up in case there's any one around this weekend who might like to come along with us
