What did we all do in our gardens today....?
I arranged some pots on my patio - box balls, Purissima tulips, Birma daffs & Barret Browning daffs (click on photos to enlarge)...
and placed two barrel planters with Albert Heiin tulips by the front door...
I bought 8 of the box ball plants from Tesco yesterday seeing as they have them on offer - 2 x plants for £20.

Love the patio arrangement LF. The box balls show off the bulbs beautifully.
I can't compete with that.
I cleared a space for my neighbour to deliver some horse droppings. When I'd done that I rested my arm on an 8 foot willow stump and it moved. I pushed a bit harder so it fell just where I wanted it. It now marks the edge of the new heap - magic
I hope it's not all over but it started p...ing down after that so I came in and made a cake. If it clears up I want to get the rocks and rubbish cleared enough to move an eleagnus. After that I can shift some compost and gravel to the eleagnus site to plant some snowdrops (waiting patiently in pots) and this year's new hellebore. Can't see me doing all that in what's left of the working day.

..your garden looks quite professional if I might say so.. although I'm not terribly keen on box balls... I like to see them in other gardens... box has such lovely foliage at this time of year...
I wonder what you will plant in the tulip barrels after they've finished...?
Today, I have finished planting some alpines and front border plants that I bought recently... just before the rain came.... yesterday I planted up all my greenhouse tomatoes and put out my bedding plants, Pelargoniums and suchlike, all done in time for warmer weather, especially milder nights we have now... too bad if the weather turns cold again but frosts aren't usually much to worry about where we are from now on....
It looks lovely. My daffodils are well over and my tulips are on the way out (Dordogne). Today and for the unforeseeable future it will be weeding! Here's one I did earlier!
I've been potting up tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes and moving some plants outside to start hardening them off. Also sown some spring onons and watered everything and then it rained!
I potted on some little geranium plugs last months magazine. Then it's just weeding, while my washing blows dry on the line.
Your patio arrangement looks stunning.
I have done some weeding, planted out some seedlings and have just rescued some bulbs after my cat dug them up.
In for a plate of soup just singled out 69 Verbena Bonariensis single potted up rest of my hostas planted out 12 petunias in the front border.Going back out to single out my asters 2 tray of them still got Laurentia about 30 Agastache 30 Mesembryanthemum 60 that's all my seeds i sowed then been singled out.
Just googled golden oat grass and it does look nice. I wonder if it would be suitable behind a pond Im planning to dig?
I deceided to move some of the box ball plants I bought from Tescos to the front of the house. I have a small quadrant planting area by my block paved drive which was looking bare...
Ok as long as it's well away from the water LF. It's a real dry lover.
