Grilled chicken/macaroni cheese/tomatoes.

Chicken stew and herby dumplings made with the leftover roast chicken from yesterday.  Most of it's chopped up ready for the pot, when I get back from biggest little one's parents evening.  Wine or not depends on how he's been behaving (although he's only 4, so hoping it won't be too bad)!

Big Blythburgh Free Range pork chops baked in the oven with some Marmande tomatoes that've been ripening on the windowsill, some runner beans out of the freezer and Estima jacket potatoes with a big lump of unsalted English butter a sprinkle of Maldon seasalt and a good grind of black pepper

Spaghetti Bolognese and fruit crumble and custard.  I had a few plums, pears and apples so following Nigel Slaters theory that fruits that ripen together go well together I put them all in with some cinammon and sugar and it was delicious - even if I say so myself

Sausage, egg and chips-the eggs come from our own chickens- so in a way from the garden

Homemade red pepper pasta sauce over whatever dried pasta comes to hand first, with a cheese & tomato flatbread.

Daughter going to investigate the persimmon that she bought for her pudding. I might have yoghurt with something, no ideas yet.

Need to make a birthday cake too, but the large fruit cake for December is cooling down! J.

Leek & Potato soup (I've been fancying that since reading about it on a couple of recent posts).
