Teesside, Sun all the way today after the crashing rain which went on for hours yesterday afternoon and evening. Out all morning along the back lanes, you can see the hills from Eston Nab through Roseberry Topping and Arden Great Moor a lovely view when it is clear as today.
Noticed in my local village the Cherries are in full bloom and also the Horse Chestnut trees, nearly all the trees are now coming up to a full canopy, nature is sneaking in under the rain clouds. Most of the fields up the lanes have water laying in them it does not seem to bother the sheep.
it appears we play war about the weather but the Flora &Fauna just gets on with things.

Greening up rapidly here too, and there's a funny yellow thing in the sky.

Any ideas? I don't recognize it...

Blues skies all day in South East England. Lovely gorgeous beautiful spring day all the more precious for being so rare!

today looks better a least it is dry after being away for a week we got a lot of rain and some sun so l should not grumble.

going to see how my seeds are doing! Just looked out of my living room window and my grandmother bonnet is in bud. So it is the start of everything coming in to bloom although we will have to give it a little time for that to happen

Raining this morning here in Kent. Looks like it might decide to do that all day long

Dry here in Chester, well of course it is, installed guttering to water butts yesterday

Hehe, I was always blamed for rain in my house because I had been planting out the day before, but this year I can't take the blame! The rain is persistent.

Grey and overcast and spitting with rain - a forestaste of tomorrow if the weather pundits are right.  But it is so cold - thermometer outside reads 5 C.  And it's May next week - did we have summer in March?

Wintersong

Yes we did  Two days in the middle of March and half an hour later on. It was on the news

Sunny and warm (for a change) in Carrickfergus, but still quite chilly at night.

Teesside, a bit of everything, sunshine cloud the odd spit of rain and to think in March I got brown as a chocolate bar in the sunshine for a week!
The Toms are still in their 3 inch pots but standing up like guardsmen, the herbs are growing rapidly out of their pots, if the sweet peas do not go into final position soon they will flower in their pots, suddenly it is becoming a need to get things moving.

Overcast with showers a brief dry spells in North Yorks. Some planting out needs to be done, but it's too soggy to step on the lawn yet.

Bright and sunny at the moment with a chill wind We are expecting rain later

Stormy in Kent. Very blustery winds, my wobbly fence is coming down  oh and did I mention its raining? Feels like November weather!

After tonight/tomorrow's deluge the local weather forecast for Monday is 19C and dry-who do I write to if that does not happen?

Shrinking Violet

Still cold; intermittent rain; wind getting stronger.  OMG - it feels like it's brewing up.  Probably won't get much sleep tonight if it really does chuck it down.  Have to make sure the leat at the end of the garden is kept clear, too, or we'll be flooded.

We actually had braised steak and onions for dinner tonight - a real winter favourite.  And I was looking forward to lighter spring and summer menus.
