Not been a bad day here, bit on the dull side but no wind, so not feeling too cold. Grass has had its first slight trim and various other tidying done, things are starting to look better in the garden.
Chris.
Woke up to find everywhere covered in what looked like icing sugar! Think it was extremely thin layer of snow, the beautiful sunshine soon melted the front but the back garden, in shade, didn't melt until mid afternoon. Bit misty early on too.
-5 in the shed, frosty! Luvverly sunshine tho'
Stockton is dull and I did think slightly warmer, that was until a mob of holy rollers landed at the door and started preaching to the wrong man I am afraid. By the time they left I was freezing. Frank.
Hi , yesterday it was a balmy 10deg but today it only got 6deg
Derek
Stockton dull dark cold, our weather is from Siberia, we know better than to even think garden for another two weeks.
Frank.
Brrrrr very cold and dull, but the hills are clear. Garden looks sad I think as if it's craving for a little warmth
Must admit to doing some gardening even in the bitter cold, I just had to get some Primroses in that I got 3 weeks ago if not longer, it has been bitter cold here and a few snow flakes flitting about for the last 3 days so I reckon that someone somewhere must have had some serious snow, the highest it's been today was 2.9c it's 1.0c now and the gritter has just gone up the road !
Fffffreeeezing!
. Arrrrrrrr .
Cold and dull here, fortunately it didn't rain so the GH got a good clean. The battery has gone on my max/min temp gauge. This is the 2nd one, they only seem to last a year. I can't get the back off to change the battery, it's welded in place Clearly a selling point which works in favour of the manufacturer
Best max-min thermometer I ever had (glass/mercury in wood case edged with brass) must have already been 30 years old when I was given it 30 years ago. It only stopped working when a 70ft ash tree fell on the greenhouse and smashed everything into teeny weeny pieces. I'm just glad I wasn't in it at the time, or they'd still be finding bits of me in the garden like I keep unearthing shards of greenhouse glass!
