Sunny, blue sky, but clouds in the distance to the west. -4°, frost.
Funny, 3rd time running I've been at the top of the page!
Cold and grey, getting fed up with it now, need sunshine
Lucky you, im on the south coast and no sign of any sun on the horizon. Enjoy
Still no sign of the sun in Swansea but at least its dry and not too cold .
You took your sunglasses off too soon Bunny
Stockton on Tees today blue sky and sunshine, a few puffy white clouds being blown in from the North Sea although much warmer. My Primroses are still in full flower smiling at me that is since well before Christmas, there is new life shooting up and the Daf's near a south facing wall are getting ready to flower. Today is the first day this year I would think of sowing seed but I do have a wall mounted South facing greenhouse with a sand bed.Life begins today.
About 11c but cloudy & cool breeze. Visitor due so can't go out & do much today.
We have an "interesting" aroma at the moment too - the wind must be coming from the farm along the road & the cows are inside or small area outside the byre, so the smells are rather concentrated!
Got to 9.9c today so just failed to get into double figures but still nice and sunny makes you feel so much better when the sun is out and your busy in the garden get loads done and feel so much happier, wonder if tomorrow will be the same
Stockton is dull although warmish, seems to be getting brighter from the coast so still an Easterly wind then.Today is Lamb, the Roast Potato's will be going in soon and the cauliflower Cheese to prepare as yet.Gardening? still a few days before early seeds Patience my friends.
Cloudy, odd peep of the sun & 10c, off into the garden now as going out this pm.
It was dull but dry here today, there wasn't a chill in the air but wouldn't go as far as saying it was warm.
A good gardening day, got loads done, Finished digging in and mulching the veg and flower beds, planted out more garlic and started off onion setts in modules.
Sowed some more seeds too, haven't got your patience Frank. Pea's early were sown on kitchen roll last week and the tiny window propagator is full of various seeds. Leeks are up and at least two lots of flowers.
WManchester/SLancs. Today was a lot duller than the sunny yesterday & felt colder outside to me. No frost first thing today though.
Have spent 2 days trying to instill some sort of order into daughter's garden. New to her, but very neglected. Not a snowdrop anywhere, but some primroses, not polyanthus & signs of a few daffodil clumps. Lots of shrubs, some of which I've still to identify.
At least she realises it's not going to suddenly turn into a well tended/colour all yr round space without a lot of hard work! I have my instructions....... J.
