in The potting shed
Same in Dordogne as Devon!
here in dismal Wakefield West Yorkshire, its cold damp drizzling and overcast. Not the best of days. A shame I have to go out in later.
Very wet, ground squelching. OH says we've had our summer now, Big plus though is that it is quite mild so don't have to worry about plants YET. Cold is coming they say.
Turning out nice here now, but am stuck inside putting bloke's laptop back together.
Its still drab and dreay still here just been to Drs to get my injection, its not really cold just miserable and yes the cold is coming over the weekend or after the weekend, but yes its going to go real cold a nice shade of blue on the weather forcasts map.
Stockton a deluge and freezing with it.Went to Northallerton, rain had stopped but freezing. On to Leeming Village no rain but freezing and back home a deluge and freezingThe garden? forget it at least another week, in the house with the fire on is the place to be.Did see some lovely clumps of snowdrops but will keep it secret as some idiot is sure to dig them up if I say where.
Wet and windy here.
The wind must have been quite strong as when I got home it had ripped a 9ft long plastic covered, metal framed, cloche out of the ground and blown it across the garden. The GH stopped it in it's tracks, luckily none of the glass was broken.
figrat. You'll soon know if you have sweet pea.
Rain rain and more rain, and the highest it got today was 4.3c with a very cold Easterly wind cutting right through and whats even worse is snow forecast Saturday and Sunday its a case of weather wise 1 step forward and 3 back.
lashing rain , this morning and more to look forward too .
Dry today, thank goodness. Never stopped yesterday. 'Tis cold though. Am beginning to get a bit concerned about heating bills. 24 hours a day for 3 months!!
Damp and murky again After all the rain yesterday everything that was beginning to dry out is squelching.
I have just re-covered my pot with fleece and put some young plants back in the GH, and covered the seedlings with fleece hoping I have protected them enough against the coning cold spell
Its another cold wet damp and dismal day, so bad not going out at all, have decided to stop in, might venture tomorrow.
It's 14° now, sun and cloud, not raining. Meteo France said there would be snow on Monday but it's changed it's mind. It will be down to 7° on Wednesday.
Right, thermal vest, wellies, scarf, thermal gloves, waterproof coat and hat and that's just to take the dog out, 15 tog quilt and electric blanket for bedtime I'm going back into hibernation, the highest it's got to today was 2.3c, rained most of the day, woke up to my usual little flood in the corner of the garden so the ground is now back to where it was 6 weeks ago, sodden big time, the snow today hasn't turned up yet but it's still there for tomorrow
Blooming Horrible wet and cold.
I think so Bunny, I'm in Middlesbrough so sort of the same horid weather for us both.
Damp to start off this morning. Then it sort of tried to brighten up, then even more rain. Cold all day & am watching the back garden temperature drop as I type. (Sensor attached to shed & 'sends' details to 'main' in the lounge.)
I re-wrapped all the patio pots yesterday. Only 1 casualty this yr so far.
Am more worried to all my cuttings & some houseplants in my porch. The front doors' letterbox fell off last evening! Some bubblewrap now sellotaped over the hole, still allowing the postie access. OH will try to fix tomorrow, I hope. J.
