'B' forecast wrong again!! No rain was expected before late morning, so had decided to cut lawn before I went shopping.
No chance, it's rained steadily since about 8.30am. Brighter now, but will need another couple of dry days before I can do it. Shall wash the car instead. J.
Warwickshire (Rugby) Light rain glad I cut my Lawn Yesterday Lol Jo4eyes
Collecting seed's today and drying Peppers and Tomato seeds
Tomorrow forcast is 28 deg hot and sunny so I shall cut hedge and start to clear front garden, Cut some tree's down I have a rockery in there some where I'm sure of it
Grey day in Sussex. Will do no more than potter. Heat foecast to return tomorrow
It's raining, it's pouring. Garden shed delivered today and put up by company. Back panel broken. They hoped we wouldn't find it till they were gone. Previous attempt to supply us with a shed had the doors in the back, against the wall. Unbelievable! No wonder things are made in China.
It's rained everyday since Saturday. Brilliant. Although I could do with some warm sun to help my tomatoes to ripen.
Another day of rain, the gardens looking well watered. Lawn is looking lush and new veg seedlings have hopefully rooted in with all this rain.
Planted out ??oung lettuce plants couple of days ago and I did ask for rain. Some heavy rain recently but mostly misty and very warm. That heat for tomorrow? It looks like we won't get too much of it. (mind you, our weather here on the coast is usually better than the forecast)
Our weather here is usually better than the forecast too; unfortunately today they were spot-on!
Went to the local agricultural show - the biggest in the north (of Scotland) & it rained a bit, then it rained a lot, then it poured, then it eased up a lot; it's still spitting.
It was very well attended, all considered. Ah well, tomorrow it's the game fair - with a better forecast.........
Hot hot hot in sunny East Sussex
Nice and warm in Suffolk after a good rain yesterday
Tipping it down in Powys
Poured with rain for most of the day.
Sorry- was hot and sunny here again today
Phew am very glad that I got the lawn cut yesterday! Mid afternoon & ever since it's rained! And I had watered the pots!
Ok a slight break around lunchtime- just as play resumed at Old Trafford- but nope rain again. Got to about 17C though. J.
well started with rain.. then sun then the heavens opened.. we took nipper to the circus.. thought best place in the rain.. and my god we could hardle here the ringmaster over the rain on teh big tent roof.. and then it started coming in..
but the acrobats etc soon took our minds of it.. and had lovely afternoon... except for the 12 daughter of the cricus owner being bender than a bendy rubber.. and nearly made my stomach churn with her folding over..
A dull day with a couple of showers. Still fairly warm
We've had more rain which was welcomed as I'm at work during the week. It's still warm but not humid.
The grounds no longer cracked and dry looking, funny it's only looked like that on the veg bed which was manured in the Autumn, the other beds have dried out but not cracked. Slug pellets don't last long in this weather, I'm having the worst year ever for slugs and snails. They are absailing in the GH, egg shells haven't kept them at bay and I've found one or two snails jammed in a gap in the glass 5ft up from the ground.
Started sunny & is ending sunny in WManchester.
Pleasant visit today down to Dunham Massey's gardens/grounds. Lots of dark clouds around, but no rain there nor back at house.
Zoomer- snails are great climbers- top of bean poles, sofits of house extension, no problem! I've found over yrs of gardening here that, despite the thrushes & hedgehog, my slimey population has increased.
This is the 3rd yr when I havent used nematodes for slug control. May just give in & reuse next yr. Luckily daughter, in Bolton, has surviving kale & dwarf beans. I'm hoping that my latest batch of kale seedlings last long enough to be planted out to over-winter. J.
same here in n manchester . sun going down over heaton pk
Dry but cool here today. I'm hoping the weather warms up again, I sowed bienniel seeds afew weeks ago and they are ever so slow in growing.
