Monday morning!  It's a lovely sunny, still morning in Essex perfect for some tidying up (garden not house) and mulching.

At the moment is very clody and 12 degrees around. The tempeture dropped dramatically from 26 degrees since yesterday!

The weather is changedable and i cannot really notice how the weather will be after an hour

Cold and windy here today. The nights are begining to draw in it was going dark by the time I got home this evening.

Haven't had chance to get out in the garden for a few weeks now, hoping to give it a tidy up at the weekend and clear the GH.

A dry, cloudy day here in the NW.

First time out in the garden for a few weeks. Hedge cut, biennials planted out and the strawberry patch given a tidy, along with other things on the 'to do list'.

Not much left to harvest now, only chillies, a few peppers, two tom plants still producing, aubergines and celeriac, the latter is doing suprising well and is taking on a size bought in shops  .

Still in double figures here, just. However been raining most of the day and dull.

21/10/2013 at 20:52

It's been dull and wet here and the forcast doesn't get any better for the rest of the week.

Can't get out in the garden now during the week as it's dark when I get home but have saved up some jobs which can be done in the GH this weekend.

Throwing it down in mid Devon.  Started raining middle of yesterday afternoon and doesn't look like stopping ever, at the moment.  Might stop building the pond and go for an ark - the lanes were already flooding on the way back from work today.

22/10/2013 at 12:45

Here in Sussex its absolutely p#####g down so heavily it looks foggy. The patch of grass to the side is under water. Won't be going out there today.

22/10/2013 at 12:51

its a bit brighter at the moment but we are having very heavy showers, trying to tidy the shed, lunch break

22/10/2013 at 17:07

Its actually stopped raining and the sun is shining.  Looks beautiful out there now.

22/10/2013 at 17:14

EEk Eek had 2 hours without rain. 18C according to o/s thermometer  Think it is an ornament.

After a very dry year we are now getting a top-up to our gardens, which with the mild temps. probably means that our plants will be going into the winter in good nick, mostly. I can't see anything in my garden which appears to be struggling at the moment, so I have decided not to complain about my lot.

AND we haven't had any early frosts to finish off my flowers

22/10/2013 at 17:25

Woody don't mention F word. Today we have has 2 hrs without rain, first in 5 days.

23/10/2013 at 00:14

We had another downpour earlier with a great storm

23/10/2013 at 21:00

Dry this morning but rain for most of the afternoon.

Some mornings it's been a tad bit cold here, noticed the dahlias starting to go over today.

24/10/2013 at 08:39

At the moment here in Sussex its beautiful,  the sun is shining,  hope it stays all day, I need to get the last few bits done in the garden. Must get those acorns off the grass. And hopefully if the soil is not too wet, dig a small flower bed and plant my last few plants

24/10/2013 at 08:58

Dahlias still producing here in Hampshire, picked a large bunch yesterday. Haven't been particularly careful with deadheading this year and it doesn't seem to have made a lot of difference to flower power. Weather dry today.
