Sorry to those who are still not happy.
In the Midlands, another 360 degrees of blue...
Note for gardeners - trees are - (clockwise) birch, acer, bamboo, and apple.
aah Jean-I feel you pain- our fine spell is due break at the weekend-but in the meantime
Hot here today, but after a sunny morning there's white cloud coming in. Supposed to be cooler tomorrow, but at the moment it's 25C.
Commiserations to all those still in the murk, though.
Very humid here and very close - think we may get thunder next. Not fair , I need cake .
Jean cake
Not a cloud in the sky and garden 25 C. Had to go into Taunton this morning - and the car thermometer said 29 C. All this nice weather (sorry - not rubbing it in to those who are still awaiting their turn) forced me into my favourite kitchen shop, and I bought an icecream maker. Drooling at the thought of it - but the bowl has to be in the freezer for 14 hours, so no icecream today. But tomorrow . . .
That was nice. I fancy another.
Gary - you !
Another hot day here in Manchester. Reached about 24-5C in my normally coolish back garden.
Not wall to wall sun, but the humidity is high & the ants are flying- ugh. J.
Well, it's gone midnight and still clocking up 19c here in Staffs! Too hot to be going to bed. I'd just be lying there, and tossing and turning all night. I know our plants needed the sun, but I am sooo a winter person. Hate it.
Lovely so far got the washing on should get it dry
Cloudy again but like Jo4eyes says very humid and sticky . Had potter outside yesterday and got chased by huge horsefly - think it was after my cake. Wasn't sharing. Hope it does thunder to clear the air - not a good nights' sleep. Geoff - you should be on the stage !!!!
Don't tell anyone, but Geoff is opening the Olympics. It's a closely guarded secret.
Hope he's wearing his speedos !!!!
Aren't I bloody gorgeous?
Apologies again but another even hotter day down here-phew what a scorcha
The sun just arrived on Teesside after a very cloudy morning, very cool in my bed Insomnia, I slept like a log.Our weather became cloudy as I cooked the Sunday lunch for Tuesday evening, the grandchildren did not accept it was too hot for that and stuffed themselves.I think "Rain" to'ther side oer Styx got the best of it later in the day, the Cleveland Hills were bathed in a warm glow when I looked over the valley.
Frank.
Like coloured beads on a string - another lovely summer's day. 27 C in the shade! Can it last?
Wow Geoff. I might move in next door when your neighbours sell.
Scorching here. I've cut the grass this morning. The dog has found a cooler spot under the kiwi bush. The kiwi is covered in flowers every year and was supposed to be self-fertile but never has fruit. I don't know whether it is a boy or a girl other wise I would get it a friend
The stone is dry with shadows on the ground up here in the outer hebrides.
Miss B x
Well. thats the end of that then - we have rain - lots of it. Glad in a way. had a shifty around in the garden so I suppose it'll help settle everything in. Haven't seen much sun though - just cloud and humidity unlike SOME I could mention !!!!
