Does anyone else watch Most Haunted because they like the history bits?

All that Olympic stuff I guess.

I turn it over when all the silly screaming stuff starts.

It's not that I'm going off Topic but I haven't had one for years, only seem to be able to buy Marathons.

Meant to say :- D ;- D

By the  time I'd read all the posts I had forgotten the original question, but really enjoyed everyones comments.  Must get to Wilkos

I must say from the opening post I had very little hope for this thread, now it's one of my favourites.

What's the best type of waxy potato?

I do like pink fir apple, but Charlotte seems very popular

You lot are so sarcastic and silly. I can see exactly what the original poster is on about!

If you lot won't answer the question properly, then I will.

Start your seeds off in a 1 inch seed tray, then sprinkle lightly with compost. Mist finely everyday with a diluted mixture of cloudy lemonade and Dandelion and Burdock. DO NOT LET THE COMPOST DRY OUT!

On day 7, preheat your oven to 230 degrees and bake for approximately 30 mins (All ovens vary, check your manual) until lightly germinated.

Let the seedlings cool down, then harden off in the fridge for 7 days. Thin out and repot. Cover with tin foil  until they are ready to be transplanted in their final position!

Hope this helps.

Oooh, I came in from work having treated myself to a packet of Rowntree Fruit Pastilles, haven't got to water the garden 'cos it's been tiddling down all afternoon, and then I found you lot have been playing creatively with our new friend's thread - you've made my day - bless the lot of you

29/08/2012 at 19:56

Ooops, sorry. Wrong thread! I didn't bother to read the post before I answered!

Don't you just hate that!

Becks, a great new technique, you should have your own slot on GW!

Dear Dove and Leggi, glad you like the thread and are joing in. Silk purse made out of sow's ear, don't you think :- )

Insomnia1973- does the lemonade and dandelion and burdock mix have to be fizzy or will it work just as well if it has gone flat?
29/08/2012 at 20:08

Ha ha ha Nola!! Fizzy, silly!! But Cherryade can be used as a substitute if you haven't got one of them.

29/08/2012 at 20:10
@ insomnia...could I deploy the microwave rather than oven? I have bacofoil helmet ready to protect me from harmful rays.
29/08/2012 at 20:12

Of course!! That's what gardening is all about! Adapting it to whatever suits you!

Flo, I can't help it! I wasn't going to join in, but I'm a child at heart, so saw my moment to be childish! I can be miserable and serious when I'm a Grumpy Old Woman! I've still got a few years to go.
