Our plastic mini greenhouse was damaged in high winds so we're thinking of getting one of these. It will be on a patio against a fence- will it still be vulnerable to wind, and will it need fixing down?

We have a similar one (it's really useful) although I think the timber part of ours is slightly weightier. It's fine in our sheltered garden in Norfolk, but if your garden is exposed to strong gusty winds I'd find a way to fix it - maybe metal brackets securing it to the wall or fence - or maybe fix a 'floor' across the bottom and lay some concrete blocks or similar on it perhaps?

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Not real glass but clear Perspex.

Here are some reviews for the Lacewing Growhouse. Seems to be mixed.

Hi
That's very similar to the Gardman model. It's probably from the same factory. I had one of these for a couple of years and it was quite good to be honest. In all fairness if it's going next to a wall you may as well go for a decent little lean to greenhouse. There's some good models from Vitavia and Halls that don't cost the earth and will definitely outlast one of these wooden growhouses for sure. Check out our website for some decent models.

This isn't advertising though is it. I haven't posted any link to our website at all and answered questions honestly and informatively. We'd be happy to advertise on your site in any case. Heavy handed in my opinion Dovefromabove, not really helpful is it?

No Matt - I'm a member of the forum - a member of the public - I'm showing other posters the sort I have in my garden which I'm very pleased with. That's not advertising - that's a personal recommendation which is encouraged on this forum.
You've said 'check out our website' and your Public Profile gives a link - that's plugging your business. I don't have a business. I don't sell anything. I'm a retired person.
