Can anyone recommend a strong but small (for shortish person!) and lightweight gardening fork? Price not an issue for the right one. Many thanks

Have a look at stainless steel "border forks". These are narrower than the usual fork, light and strong.

H, Nicky....this is one I bought for my daughter: http://www.tesco.com/direct/fiskars-garden-light-digging-fork/210-9933.prd?skuId=210-9933&pageLevel=&sc_cmp=pcp_GSF__210-9933

I think it may be what you are looking for.

Btw, as you may notice, this lightweight fork is made by the same company who make the much TV advertised 'weed puller'. The quality is quite good.
